This is the first, of what I hope will be a series of episodes with people who are reconstructing their faith inside or outside of church, where you can often feel on your own, but how do you sustain that faith.
I am starting with a friend of mine, Mike Parker, who is actually a church leader at Worthing Baptist Church on the south coast of England.
It might seem strange to start this series with someone who leads a church, but I'm glad I did as I really enjoyed the conversation from the perspective of someone who has the job of leading a church whilst also having questions about faith.
In this series I will be asking guests what books have been a help to them on this journey. Mike chose four books listed below with an interesting choice at the end and not listed here:
The Faraway Tree series — Enid Blyton
To Kill a Mockingbird — Harper Lee
The Shack — W. Paul Young
Jayber Crow — Wendell Berry
I hope you enjoy the episode as much as I enjoyed the conversation, and if you have an interesting story to tell about your faith journey, please let me know by emailing me at ds9@post.com

In this episode I have a very interesting conversation with Therese Ryan on the interesting and fascinating subject of Focusing which is a somatic practice where we listen to what our body is saying to us.
If you have not come across this before, I think that this conversation will tempt you to know more.

Below are useful links including a way to get in touch with the final link to Therese if you would like to get in touch via her website.

I recently had an email from a friend and listener with concerns as they had received some negative feedback about the Enneagram and whether she should be using it in a Christian context.
This isn't unusual and so I thought I'd invite my P.A.L.s: Paul, Andy and Liz to have a discussion about this and the origins of it all.
I hope you enjoy the discussion and please feel free to make any comments or suggestions for other episodes, please email me at ds9@post.com

In this episode I have a conversation with Emma & Rob as we reflect on a book that a small group of us read during Lent.
The book is, "Sacred Earth, Sacred Soul" by John Philip Newell and is described as "A Celtic guide to listening to our souls and saving the world."
This will be of particular interest to people who re-thinking faith or looking to find a way to rediscover the natural rhythms of life and deepen our spiritual connection with the Creator, each other and the earth.

Subtypes have been mentioned in previous episodes based on Enneagram Types but we have not really explained what they are and why they are important. Hopefully this episode will do that, it mat also lead to further questions to explore.
If you have any questions about this episode or any other comments or suggestions about the podcast as a whole, please email me at ds9@post.com
Thank you for being here.

In this episode I move away from the Enneagram and have a conversation with Claire Tomkins on the practices of journaling and story telling as a way of cultivating wholeness.
She also mentions three prompts to be used for Journaling, they are:
What does my heart want me to notice?
What do I want to let go of today?
What is life giving for me right now? (the quote I mention in relation to this, is from Howard Thurman)

Having finished having conversations with the Enneagram Head Types, where the best form of meditation is silence or the Centering Prayer, I thought I'd lead you in a form of prayer known as the Examen or Awareness Prayer which touches the head, heart and body centres.

In this episode I have a conversation with three friends, Anna, Joy and Sam who all lead with a Type 7 personality.
This is the last of the head types and the last but not least, of all the Enneagram types.
